Some guys use normal Asian dating apps, others try old-school “Asian bride” websites. Very different vibe and risk level. If you’ve tried both, which worked better for you and why?
I tried one of those “bride” style sites once and bailed fast. Everything was pay per letter and felt like a scripted chat. Normal apps like Tantan and Tinder felt way more organic.
The problem with “mail order bride” sites is incentives. They make money when you keep chatting, not when you actually meet. Apps win for me because they’re built around matches and real life meetups.
Apps can still suck, but at least you’re not paying per message. I’d rather deal with some swipes and ghosting than feel like I’m talking to a call center on the other end.
One friend met his wife through an agency, but he dropped thousands on tours and translators. I met my girlfriend through a regular app while traveling. I’ll take the cheaper route personally.
