The biggest difference for me was how openly affectionate Latin women are compared to American women. Holding hands in public, calling each other terms of endearment early, showing physical closeness — this is just normal. American men sometimes mistake that warmth for something more serious than it is, or for being ‘easy.’ It’s neither. It’s just the culture.

We met in a public place, first lunch was super chill, then we slowly spent more time together. Not trying to force some movie style romance on day one kept it from being weird.
