Isan women — from the northeast — are underrated. Very family-oriented, hardworking, less exposed to tourist culture. The language barrier is bigger, but the intentions tend to be cleaner. I’d take that trade every time.
She didn’t sugarcoat anything, including feedback about me. Took a hit to my ego at first, but after a while I realized I’d rather have blunt honesty than polite silence.
